HDFS Spring Hangout

Join the Human Development and Family Sciences students and faculty on Wednesday, May 27 from 12–3 PM at the SEC Outdoor Pavilion for snacks, crafts, lawn games, and more! Everyone is welcome to hang out, and feel free to bring friends; the weather should be great!

DIY Job Shadow Workshop

Interested in exploring a career path but not sure where to start? Creating your own job shadow is a great way to gain real-work insight and make professional connections. Join us for this virtual session, where we’ll walk through the step-by-step process of setting up your own shadowing experience. You’ll learn tips for finding professionals to shadow, writing a strong intro e-mail, prepping for the shadow, and following up. Feel free to register for the Wednesday, May 27 virtual workshop from 12–1 PM or register for the Thursday, May 28 virtual workshop from 5–6 PM, and contact Wendy Allison with questions.

Healthcare Admin: Human Care in a Digital World Discussion

Curious about what happens behind the scenes in healthcare? Register to join the Healthcare Admin Ask Alumni panel on Thursday, May 28 from 5:30–6:30 PM. to explore the vast and evolving healthcare administration field and its career mobility, leadership opportunities, and competitive earning potential. OSU’s online Healthcare Administration degree is designed to fit into your life, helping you advance your education while continuing to work, build experience, and navigate other duties. Hear from alumni across the industry share how they’ve elevated their careers into leadership roles. This session is for individuals at various stages of their professional journey, ready to impact their field.

Join the Public Health Undergraduate Student Advisory Committee

Seeking a meaningful leadership opportunity as a way to advocate for your peers? Consider the Public Health Undergraduate Student Advising Committee! Open to Public Health majors and minors (including Global Health, EOH, and Social Change for Health) from Corvallis campus and Ecampus, this opportunity entails bimonthly meetings with the Public Health undergraduate program director and two or three annual meetings with the Public Health faculty committee. Apply for a seat on the advisory committee by Monday, June 1. Notifications will go out later this summer.

Since summer and fall registration have kicked off, don’t forget about the COH course finder, an easy tool to search for required and meaningful in-person and online classes counting towards COH majors and minors, Bacc Core and Core Ed categories, etc. Check it out, and tell all your friends!
