Virtual Workshop: Write with the Body: Moving beyond Writer’s Block

Got a writing project in the works but having difficulty staying motivated? Consider Write with the Body: Moving beyond Procrastination and Writer’s Block, where you’ll explore your relationship with procrastination and fear of failure to help you get started, keep going, and finish projects. This Writing Center-led workshop will be on Wednesday, May 13 at 12 PM via Zoom. You’ll make 20 minutes of writing progress on a current project (bring one to work on!) while learning how to add yoga, stretching, and mindfulness practices to the writing process. We’ll identify and practice contemplative tools to help you find motivation and clarity and offer desk-friendly options for gentle stretching and movement (no yoga mat needed). Register for Write with the Body here.

Beavers Belong Undergrad Support Group Meeting

Beavers Belong is a student-led network through which you can connect, feel heard, and find your place at OSU. On Tuesday, May 12 from 2:30–3:30 PM in Memorial Union 062, Beavers Belong will host a meeting for any interested undergrads to share common experiences and challenges, including adjusting to college, forming connections, balancing academics with social life, and whatever else participants would like to discuss. For more info on this meeting, feel free to contact Molly Murphy of CAPS. If you can’t make this meeting, no worries; there will be more, each spotlighting specific support groups.
