Virtual Class Reunion Socials 2020

COVID-19 social distancing restrictions couldn’t stop the OSU College of Pharmacy Classes of 1960, 1970, 1980, & 2010 from gathering virtually for reunion socials! Friday, October 23, 2020, the Alumni Office hosted Zoom Reunion Socials for the Classes of 1970, 1980, & 2010. The Classes of 1990 and 2000 elected to wait to gather in-person once it is safe to do so.

The Zoom Reunion Socials began with a fun slideshow of class composite photos themed to the OSU Fight Song. Alumni Director, Paige Clark welcomed everyone and introduced Dean Grace Kuo who shared some College updates and her vision for the College moving forward. Andrew Norwood, the College’s Director for Development with the OSU Foundation introduced himself to the reunion attendees in a short video. Special guests included Emeritus Dr. George Constantine, Emeritus Dr. John Block, and current executive Associate Dean Dr. Gary DeLander.

Reunion attendees then separated into individual class socials. Pharmacy graduates from each decade shared stories from their distinguished careers. Some recalled important moments from their time in pharmacy school and others spoke about the transformative nature of the pharmacy profession with stories that illustrated the many ways the profession has changed and continues to evolve.

The Class of 1960 for their 60-year reunion, opted for a Conference Call and Coffee on the morning of Saturday, October 24, 2020. Paige Clark, Dean Grace Kuo, and Andrew Norwood conversed with the pharmacy graduates as they reflected back on their careers.

Next year, the College will host the reunions of the “01s”! If you are in the classes of 1971, 1981, 1991, 2001, or 2011, look for emails and postcards with reunion details to come. To serve as a reunion greeter, please contact Paige Clark, (’85) Director of Alumni Relations. Now is the time to update your contact information here with the College to ensure you receive the most up-to-date information!
