Dr. Aleksandra Sikora Published

Dr. Aleksandra Sikora was recently published in Molecular and Cellular Proteomics for her work with other OSU College of Pharmacy researches on the human-specific pathogen Neisseria gonorrhoeae (GC). This pathogen is the culprit for the sexually transmitted disease, gonorrhea. The work done by Dr. Sikora and her research associates suggests that proteins located in the cell envelope play a role in the GC cell’s viability.  This research may lead to improved treatment options that target these proteins rather than the pathogen itself.Read more at MedicalXpress.com.
