The Prototype development costs were considered within the span of three months, and the total output will produce one prototype. This prototype will use different parts and materials than the mass production item, as this is a proof of concept. The funding for the prototype development will likely be granted by a medical or research grant.

The Beta Testing development costs were also considered within the span of three months, and the goal is here to create 10 iterations of the prototype. Each new iteration will build on the qualities and rectify the downfalls of the previous iteration. The funding for the beta testing stage will likely come from a medical or charity organization.

The Mass Production development costs were not considered with any timeframe in mind, as it is meant to be a continuous operation. As such, the inclusion of a wage for labor just indicates how many people we would likely need to assemble components given mass production. The parts used in this stage will be different from the other stages, as this will be cheaper in mass production. Funding for the mass production of the completed product will most likely be handled by collaborating with health technology companies such as Johnson & Johnson or Integra LifeSciences.

  1. Nice! Instead of pasting in long URLs, hyperlink the row heading text and click the link button to paste the URL. Also, stretch the first column wider, so it is easier to read.

  2. Much better. 🙂 I do recommend using right-alignment for number cells with no decimal places, and add a $ to the total row, along with a “Total” label. These changes follow typical spreadsheet conventions.

  3. To improve the readability of the tables, I recommend combining the last column of links with the first column of generic terms, so they read like this: “Geekworm UNO R3 Case”.

    • The 3-month timeframe was used a fixed time period solely for the sake of deciding how much to pay engineers. It’s hard to say exactly how much time it would take to develop the prototype or commence beta testing without actually having done it. So the 3 months just represent the minimum timeframe which we thought would be needed.
