Art Exhibit

On the Wind and Underwater is tribute to the Phish song “Waves,” and features waves of all kinds: waves of people, light, paint, emotion, and yarn. Through their chosen media, the participating artists capture the motion of our favorite band’s music and bring to life their subjects. The 2024 Phish Studies Conference is proud to present the following artists and their projects, selected through a competitive process:

Kristin and Charles Harper, The Color of Our Dreams

Lizzy Layne, Doing Things Smart People Don’t Do: A 15 Year Retrospective of Lot Lizardry

Shelli McCaffrey, “What’s the Use?”

Brooke Nuckles, Together We Ascend: Prints and Interactive Sculpture

Michael Sell, Only Light and Dust: Portraits of Phish Fans 2016-2021
