The Center for Teaching and Learning invites teaching faculty to join the new community of practice on facilitating student success through engagement across modalities and class sizes. Individuals who teach large-enrollment courses or teach in multiple modalities are especially welcome.
The community of practice will focus on small changes or minor adaptations that can be made in courses to increase student engagement with course material. The group will incorporate sharing, discussion and reflection about lessons learned through the process. Participants can choose whether to participate via Zoom or in Corvallis campus meetings.
Community of practice participants will facilitate student success in their courses through the collaborative development of methods and materials for engaging students in asynchronous, hybrid, and synchronous environments. The group will emphasize developing student engagement activities for spring term courses, so participants should be teaching this term.
Register for the community of practice by noon on Monday, April 6.
