Halloween Costumes + Ugly Sweaters

UIT held the first two out of what will hopefully be many events and contests: the first annual OSU IT Halloween Costume Contest and the first annual Ugly Sweater Day and Contest.

23 costume-clad participants from across OSU IT submitted their entries for the Halloween Costume Contest, and three winners were chosen for People’s Choice, Best Pet Costume and Most Grand Expedition-y.

Security

  • Congratulations to the Office of Information Security on achieving first place in the MS-ISAC Best of the Web!
  • OIS celebrated Cybersecurity Awareness Month in October and hosted five events for the OSU community to learn about phishing and other cyber threats.
  • OIS is making the transition away from relying on the more easily-exploitable on-premise cyber control in favor of cloud-based control that is harder to infiltrate.

Landmarks + Milestones

Academic Technologies launched its Media Hub in October, a centralized multimedia resource for students, faculty and staff that is open to everyone across campus.

The Digital Experience Web & CRM team in partnership with the College of Engineering launched the new Engineering website. This is the first production site launch in the new Drupal 9 environment and features a new theme designed by URM with customizations by the COE team, a new page building system that improves the site building experience, and many other improvements from our Drupal 7 offering.
