Applications are now open for 2021 Homecoming Court until tomorrow May 12, 2021! As 1 of the selected 6 students, you will get to attend special events and receive a $500 scholarship! You will also join a long line of student leaders who embody the spirit, integrity, and achievement of a true Oregon Stater. CPHHS Commencement Celebration

Please join us as we celebrate you, the 2021 undergraduate class of CPHHS, and your amazing achievements! We invite you to join a fun and interactive 1-hour event that includes a guest speaker, music, a video made by our students, and ample time for networking with classmates, advisors, and faculty.

This college-specific event (not affiliated with the virtual OSU commencement on 6/12) will feature Jafra Thomas, an alumnus of the college (MPH and PhD) who is the 2021 recipient of the Hally Poindexter Young Scholar Award from the National Association for Kinesiology in Higher education. Ecampus Courses Restriction: Phase I Fall 2021 Registration

The Office of Student Success would like to update CPHHS students regarding Ecampus courses. Historically, HDFS Ecampus courses have had restricted registration access during Phase I of Registration to ensure that Ecampus students have access to their major courses. Starting Fall 2021, the CPHHS will also restrict registration access to Public Health Ecampus courses during Phase I of Registration in addition to the HDFS Ecampus course restrictions. Students can register for Ecampus HDFS and Public Health courses during Phase II of registration.

RSVPing for the Commencement Ceremony

Graduating this spring? Visit GradPak to RSVP for the virtual commencement ceremony on June 12th. GradPak asks graduates to create a graduation slide of yourselves that will be shown during the ceremony. The deadline to RSVP and submit your graduation slide is May 15, 2021.

Center for Advancing Financial Education (CAFÉ)

The Center for Advancing Financial Education (CAFÉ) has launched its social media communication platform! CAFÉ invites you to follow their Instagram where they will be posting 2x/week. Their content will consist of important finance-related announcements and deadlines relevant to the OSU student community, and “Financial Tidbits” which provides resources, information, and insights that educate the community around financial matters.

CAFÉ also has a team of peers and professional staff to meet 1:1 with students starting fall 2021! During these appointments, upper-level financial literacy services are provided, such as financial planning or basic investing with one of the professional staff who is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). Follow CAFÉ’s Instagram for more updates or reach out to cafe@oregonstate.edu for questions.

IPV Prevention Outreach Assistant

OSU is hiring an Interpersonal Violence Prevention Outreach Assistant. Anticipated hours are 20 hours a week. Applications are due May 25, 2021. Recruiting Beaver Connect Peer Mentors

Beaver Connect is looking for Peer Mentors for 2021-2022 mentoring teams! You as a co-mentor will be matched with a faculty member to lead crucial discussions on navigating college, achieving success, and getting more out of the OSU experience with a group of 3-4 new-to-OSU students. This position will help you make connections with faculty and peers and develop resume-building leadership skills! The job application is open now and closes May 31, 2021. Positions start in late summer or early fall and last through spring 2022. Undergraduates who identify as students of color, first-generation, low-income, transfer, student-athletes, or have experience in the University Exploratory Studies Program are especially encouraged to apply! Community Engagement and Leadership Job Opportunity

Community Engagement and Leadership (CEL) at OSU is currently hiring student employees for Fall 2021! Student employees may be responsible for planning events, meeting with community partners or students for advising, and facilitating educational programs.
