Highlights
H 445: Occupational Health
Learn about Occupational Health in Public Health context. This course will cover the basic principles, historical, and contemporary topics of occupational health, including work-related injuries and illnesses, and interventions to reduce various exposures associated with occupational diseases. The class will be offered Winter 2021, on Thursdays from 4:00 pm – 6:50 pm over Zoom. The class is also required for the undergrad minor in EOH, so if you are interested in occupational health, you should definitely take a look at this cool opportunity.
PTAH Club
Join Pre-Therapy Allied Health Club (PTAH)! We meet on Mondays at 7pm. This club is for all pre-health students, especially those hoping to become a PT, OT, AT, PA, and more! This term we have presentations from several physical therapy programs and athletic training programs around Oregon, a student panel of graduate students, and more! Come meet other students, network with professionals, and learn more about your career options! If you want to be added to the listserv, email club president Bianca Reinalda.
Thanksgiving Meals on Campus
On-campus students: want to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal with your fellow Beavs? UHDS dining centers are offering three chances to enjoy roast turkey, pie, and other holiday favorites. Attend just one or come to all three! Meals are $11.75 and include all entrees and sides; desserts and beverages are priced separately.
- 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. and 5 – 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19 | Thanksgiving meal at Southside Station @ Arnold, Global Fare
- 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19 | Thanksgiving meal at McNary Dining Center, Boardwalk Cafe.
- 4 – 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 26 | Thanksgiving meal at Marketplace West, Tomassito’s.
Registration PINs
Now that registration has started for some students, you may have trouble with your registration PIN. This doesn’t always happen, but unfortunately, some times the PIN you receive might not work. If so, please email your academic advisor and be sure to include your original PIN in the email.

University of Sydney Study Abroad Info Session
Interested in getting some kind of studying abroad during your college career? In Fall 2021, the University of Sydney will be hosting virtual Study Abroad and Exchange programs. This virtual offering will be meaningful and worthwhile in exploring the culture and academics in Sydney, even from a distance! Human Services Resource Center
Hey Beavs, we know times can be a little challenging right now. Fortunately, the Human Services Resource Center is still up and running and supporting students! They provide a multitude of services including grocery support, Healthy Beaver Bags, SNAP Assistance, housing support, financial stress support, and so much more.
