Volunteer Opportunity:

Immerse yourself in Peru’s culture, while also developing new skills by working on diverse projects in undeserved communities with the IChange Peru organization this summer 2017.  In the health and medical program, volunteers are placed in government low-income hospitals, clinics, or care facilities. Volunteers will shadow healthcare professionals to experience the daily practice of medicine in Peru. Based on experience and level of education,volunteers may assist doctors or nurses in medical procedures under their supervision. Application deadline is April 3. Scholarship Opportunity:

The OSU Folk Club Thrift Shop Scholarship Committee is accepting applications from non-traditional women students who are U.S. citizens and residents of Benton County, Linn County, Monmouth, or Independence in Polk County, age 30 or older, who will be attending OSU full-time or part-time in 2017-2018, while pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or professional degree. Principal criteria are financial need and merit. The deadline for filing applications is March 27.
