Authors Lauri Markowitz, Susan Hariri, and in joint collaboration with other researchers, collectively published journal article “Reduction in Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Prevalence Among Young Women Following HPV Vaccine Introduction in the United States, National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys, 2003-2010” (2013) detail that the HPV numbers in young women decreased after the introduction of the vaccine in the United States. This was examined through the National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys and from Linear Array HPV Assay in swab samples. The exposure of the surveying data was used in order to raise awareness and analyze the effectiveness of the HPV vaccine recommendation. This was published through the Oxford University press and is done to reaffirm the effectiveness of the vaccine to those in medical positions.
