My name is Jessica Celis and I absolutely adore plants. As an undergraduate at San Jose State University, I studied the edaphic speciation of Lasthenia maritima from L. minor. Since graduating, I have worked as the Herbarium Curator for the H.J. Andrews Experimental Forest, a hydrological technician, and plant ecologist. Currently, I am researching how the functional composition of meadow/forest species change given different meadow restoration treatments.
Jesssica will be supported by a graduate research assistantship in 2014-2015 made possible by the HJ Andrews LTER site to continue her work on the effects of conifer encroachment on Cascade meadow communities.
