HC Announcements and Events
HC Conversation Clusters Shuffled & Dinner up for Grabs
HC Conversation Clusters have been shuffled for winter term. This means that many of you will see a new cluster assignment or several new members. Those who completed our feedback survey in late fall were placed in conversation clusters matching those requests. Many asked to be grouped by year and by college. Based on feedback we have received, we ask that all students give what they can to these groups, recognizing that for some, these meetings are critical to their well-being and are important to creating a sense of belonging and community.
To begin winter term, we’ll again focus on getting to know one another, establishing our meeting day, time, and format with the first 100 clusters to complete the initial assignment in canvas receiving dinner on us!
If you have questions regarding your cluster assignment or if you need assistance in convening your initial group meeting please reach out to LeeAnn.Baker@oregonstate.edu.

Scholarship Opportunities
Honors College Differential Tuition and Emergency Grant
The Honors College recognizes that this may be a particularly challenging time for Honors College students and their families. We encourage students who are experiencing difficulty paying the costs associated with Honors College enrollment to apply for a one-term Honors College Differential Tuition and Emergency Grant. Determinations will be made on a rolling basis and will consider both need and the likelihood of earning the Honors Baccalaureate.
Inability to pay Honors College differential tuition or other costs this term should not be the primary barrier to any student’s successful graduation from the college or continuation as an honors student. Approved grants may be for the full HC differential tuition (currently $500) or a portion of it and are for one-term only. Grants will not be renewed for additional terms, but students can reapply. Typically, students can only receive two Differential Tuition and Emergency Grant during their time in the Honors College. See the application for additional information.

START Leaders also share their own OSU story to build student connection to the university, communicate with students about their transition to OSU and host social events for new students.
Everyone is welcome to apply – OSU hopes to have the staff look, feel and sound like real incoming students. To apply, complete the application here by January 15. To learn more, visit the link here.
