Vick’s Capstone Adventure: Initial progress and thoughts

These past few weeks have been great. I formed a group with two members I found through the initial Discussions post and we also got to pick the topic that we had initially chosen. We had went with the “Software Quiz” option. Overall, I would say that we have narrowed down each of our strengths and weaknesses for this project and as team members. The rules we set were also agreeable by everyone and we did not have any discrepencies when it came to agreeing on any topic changes. It seems like we all have a clear understanding of what is required at the end of this project as we have laid out a well-thought out outline for the project. As for progress, we just created the first webpage for our website and will be working in getting it hosted online in the next coming days. My other teammates are hard at work trying to figure out the other components like where to host our database and which template to use for the frontend. We have had some initial ideas about how we want it to look and what design approach to take but nothing concrete yet as we feel like it is best to figure out how to get it working for now than to design something that isn’t even there yet. We also addressed the days we will be busy for the remaining semester so that we call allocate those working hours and distribute them accordingly within the group.

All in all, I think we make a pretty good team. We are holding each other accountable, doing daily sprints like a normal full-time developer role and using github to manage our codebase.

Really excited for what we come up with in the end.
