The second annual Washington & Oregon Higher Education Sustainability Conference is February 25th through February 27th at the University of Washington! Last year was the first year that the Oregon Higher Education Sustainability Conference and the Washington Higher Education Sustainability Conference merged, forming WOHESC. The first WOHESC (2018) was a huge success, with over 600 attendees and over 110 speakers contributing to a sustainable future. Our very own Lety Cavazos, Sustainability Program Specialist at OSU, spoke about the OSU Eco-rep program!

The Washington & Oregon Higher Education Sustainability Conference (WOHESC) is a platform for inspiring change, facilitating action, and promoting collaboration related to sustainability within the region’s higher education institutions. Conversation, workshops, and networking opportunities will empower participants to advance environmental performance at Washington and Oregon State institutions of higher education.
WOHESC brings faculty, operational staff, administrators, students, student development staff, non-profit organizations, government organizations, and community stakeholders together in one location in order in order to develop strategies for improving sustainability within Washington and Oregon institutions of higher education.

- Wednesday, August 8, 2018 – Call for proposals issued
- Friday, October 5, 2018 – Deadline for proposal submissions
- Wednesday, October 31, 2018 – Selection decisions announced
- Wednesday, November 14, 2018 – WOHESC 2019 program announced
- February 25-27, 2019 – Washington & Oregon Higher Education Sustainability Conference
