Building Your Professional Brand on LinkedIn and Social Media
Recruiters and hiring managers from all industries rely on the Internet to find potential candidates, especially on LinkedIn and other social media. Register for this virtual workshop on Tuesday, February 25 from 5-6 PM to learn how to harness your online presence to elevate your professionalism, connect with industry leaders, and make it known that you’re an excellent candidate for any professional opportunity.

Remaining February Career Fairs
On Wednesday, February 26, the Career Development Center is partnering with industry professionals to host two career fairs: the Nonprofit and Community Engagement Fair (MU Ballroom, 11 AM-2 PM) and the Food Science & Technology Fair (Weigand Hall, 3-5 PM). Register for these events via Handshake. Pro tip: if you’re actively seeking opportunities, dress to impress, prepare your elevator pitch, and have copies of your resume.
George Washington Carver Research Internship Program
Food for thought: how would you like to earn internship and research experience simultaneously, earn an $8,000 stipend, and spend the fall in the Midwest? If this sounds intriguing, and if you’re interested in food science, food systems, or agriculture, read up more on the George Washington Carver Research Internship Program. Research Participation: Substance Use and Academic Performance Study
Looking for ways to engage with research? Interested in psychology? The Substance Use & Neurocognition (SUN) lab is seeking participants in their research study, “Substance Use and Academic Performance.” Eligible participants must be (1) between 18-25 years old; (2) an OSU student registered for Winter 2025 classes; (3) fluent in English; (4) a US citizen; (5) not currently pregnant; and (6) have used alcohol or cannabis in the past month.
