Winter 2025 Academic Deadlines

Friday, February 21 @ 12:00 PM: last day to change the grading basis of a class (A-F to S/U or vice versa; review the COH S/U policy)

Friday, February 21 @ 11:55 PM: last day to withdraw from a class (no tuition refund)

Friday, March 14 @ 11:55 PM: last day to withdraw from the term

Tilikum Summer Health Experience
Hosted by Portland State University in partnership with AAMC and OHSU’s NNACoE, the Tilikum Summer Health Experience is a hybrid enrichment program designed for American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) college students with fewer than 60 credits. It entails five weeks of virtual and in-person experiential learning, mentorship, and a hands-on introduction to the health field, all anchored in cultural identity. Get the details from the Tilikum webpage; apply by Wednesday, February 5!

AMP-MPH Info Session for Prospective Grad Students
Considering a master’s degree? Check out one of our six (6) MPH degree options as part of the COH AMP-MPH! If you’re curious to learn more, RSVP to our winter term virtual info session on Wednesday, February 5 from 11 AM-12 PM. Whether you’re thinking of an allied health career, a health education career, med school, or earning a doctorate, an MPH can be a meaningful next step.

OHSU Pay It Forward Mentorship Program
Pro tip: you can never have too many mentors! If you’re an aspiring med student–especially one considering Oregon Health & Science University for med school–then know that current med students are eager to take you under their wing. Pay It Forward is a student-led mentorship program pairing undergrads from diverse backgrounds with current OHSU med student mentors. Learn more and access the application in the link above or e-mail payitforward@ohsu.edu; apply by Friday, February 7.

KIN 343 & KIN 344 Application Deadline for PTAH Students
If you’re a KIN student undertaking the PTAH option and plan on taking KIN 343 (the 1-credit experiential learning seminar) and KIN 344 (the 1-credit experiential learning practicum) this spring, be sure to submit your apps (now live!) for each of these courses no later than Friday, February 7 at 5 PM. KIN 343/344 apps are always due at the end of Week 5 of the term prior to the practicum. Send questions about the PTAH option to Emily Norcross.

Child Family Health International Internship Info Session
Looking for both international experience and internship experience? Child Family Health International (CFHI), a nonprofit offering global health training, is partnering with IE3 Global and OSU Global Opportunities (OSU GO) to offer several internship opportunities. Feel free to attend the virtual info session on Wednesday, February 12 from 12-1 PM.
