KIN 343/344 Deadline for the Fall is May 1

KIN majors with the PTAH option (i.e., the option is officially added to your degree plan): if you want to earn experiential credit through KIN 343 (Seminar) and KIN 344 (Practicum) this fall, the deadline to apply is Friday, May 1. Here’s the KIN 343 app, and here’s the KIN 344 app (these should be taken together). Any questions may go to Emily Norcross.

Snag a Summer Job Shadow by May 1

Still curious about the Job Shadow Program this summer? Good news: there are still several stellar professional opportunities available (both in person or remote) with organizations like First Alternative, Oregon Tilth, Hauck Health & Performance Solutions, etc. You may apply for a summer job shadow by Friday, May 1.

Serve on the First-Year Leadership Committee

Calling all leaders! The newly minted First-year Leadership Committee (FLC) is a mentorship program within Associated Students of Oregon State University (ASOSU). While general committee membership is for first-year students, there are four (4) open officer positions to be filled by any OSU student. Applications for the FLC officer roles are open through Sunday, May 3. Regardless of your major, these paid positions offer real-world, marketable skills and a chance to positively impact campus life. Questions may go to ASOSU senators.

Fulbright US Student Program Info Sessions

The Fulbright Scholars Program offers the opportunity for students to go abroad after graduation for independent research, graduate study, art projects, or English teaching opportunities. Available in 140 different countries, grantees participate in invaluable intercultural educational opportunities and hone professional skills. Next Tuesday, May 5 in LINC 343 from 4–5 PM, National and Global Scholarships Advising will host an info session on teaching English abroad via Fulbright. Then, Wednesday, May 6 in LINC 343 from 4–5 PM, they’ll host a similar info session on engaging in international research or performance art via Fulbright.
