We’re moving right along, Beavs! We hope the sunshine has you in good spirits. Check out what’s happening this week, especially COH Bingo Night on April 23. Also, our office will be closed for a training on Tuesday, April 22, so we will NOT be offering drop-in advising this day.

Spring 2025 Academic Deadlines

Monday, April 14 @ 8 AM: Summer 2025 registration opens (no PIN)

Friday, May 16 @ 12:00 PM: last day to change the grading basis of a class (A-F to S/U or vice versa; review the COH S/U policy)

Friday, May 16 @ 11:59 PM: last day to withdraw from a class (no refund)

Friday, June 6 @ 11:59 PM: last day to withdraw from the term

COH Presents Bingo and Pizza Night!
Please join us for some fun and several finger-licking-good slices of pizza at the COH Bingo Night on Wednesday, April 23 at 6 PM in the Women’s Building Gym. To this end, we’ve heard the Bingo winners won’t walk away empty handed! All COH undergrads are welcome; all you need to do is RSVP for the event!

College of Health 2025 Graduation Celebration Info!
Many have asked about attending the COH graduation celebration this June, so read closely! You can find the details on the COH graduation celebration webpage. Note especially the RSVP deadline of Wednesday, May 14. If you have additional questions about tickets, contact our Peer Ambassadors; for questions about accommodations, contact Keri Fisher.

Leveling up: Career Development Tips for First-Gen Students
Are you a first-generation student eager to navigate your career path with confidence? In Leveling Up: Career Development Tips for First-Gen Students on Thursday, April 24 from 4-5 PM via Zoom, you’ll delve into a range of care. Join us to learn how to effectively build a standout resume, craft a compelling elevator pitch, and implement successful job search strategies. Also, you’ll explore common obstacles faced by first-gen students and learn actionable techniques to overcome them, helping you keep your stride as you as you embark on your professional journey.

Health Professions Fair and Grad School Exploration Fair
Just as it yields new flowers, springtime yields new career possibilities! First, stop by the Health Professions Fair on Tuesday, April 22 from 10 AM-2 PM in the Dixon Rec Center. Then, if you’re considering graduate school, check out the Grad School Exploration Fair on Wednesday, April 30 from 11 AM-2 PM in the MU Horizon Room (register via the link). Both of these events are perfect networking opportunities; you’ll have the chance to engage with dozens of employers across the healthcare industry as well as reps from 20 graduate programs. Feel free to bring your resume!

Pre-Therapy and Allied Health (PTAH) Interest Meeting
Are you a KIN major? Are you interested in learning more about pre-therapy and allied health (PTAH) career pathways (e.g., PT, AT, OT, Nursing, PA, Pre-Med) regardless of your major? If you answered Yes! to either of these questions, please join us for our PTAH Option Interest Meeting on Monday, April 28 from 6:30-7:30 PM in Langton 129! Our stellar KIN faculty will be available to discuss what the PTAH option entails, chat informally, and take your excellent questions. Join the Job Shadow Program
From now through Saturday, May 3, you’re invited to sign up for OSU’s 2025 Job Shadow Program facilitated by the Career Development Center! Job shadowing is an excellent, low-stakes way to gain experience outside of the classroom, clarify occupations of interest, and possibly even earn credit. Through this program, you can be matched with a local organization that coincides with your career goals. Register below, and contact Wendy Allison with any questions.
