2024-2029
Emily E. is teaming up with an interdisciplinary group of geotechnical engineers, benthic ecologists, and chemists to study the geotechnical properties of intertidal flats. This work is being done on behalf of the Office of Naval Research in an effort to better understand how tidal flats can be characterized from remotely sensed imagery. The project will include surveys in diverse environments ranging from sub-tropical flats to regions subject to seasonally freezing temperatures.
