We are coming to the close of the capstone project for the post bachelor degree in Computer Science. While I had some trepidation of working with a random team, I’ve found it to be a good experience. My teammates were knowledgeable and competent to communicate and code their portions. They have shown up to every meeting and participated in every discussion. It has been the best experience yet of working with teammates in this program. I must admit I was not expecting it to go this smoothly. I’ve completed my portion of the code which include a REST API backend, and two React user interfaces for creating a dynamic quiz, and emailing the quiz out to the user. Now I’m helping fill in any gaps in the assignment before we turn it in. I have spent a fair amount more time on the user interface than I expected. It has many points error handling and has to progress in a certain workflow to make sure the data that is submitted is acceptable. Moving forward, we have the poster and the final report to submit and then I will be done with the program. I’m excited to be done and will be taking a month off before I begin my search for a job in Software Engineering.
