Lemon Pasta with Chili Flake Oil

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Ingredients: Medium Shell Pasta, Lemon, Chili Flakes/Red Pepper Flakes, Grated Parmesan Cheese, Olive Oil

Instructions:

Begin by bringing water to a boil, following the instructions per your box of noodles. While the water is heating up, wash, then slice your lemon, removing any seeds, into thin half slices. Gather your dry ingredients. Place the sliced lemon, parmesan cheese, and chili flakes into a large heat safe mixing bowl. Once your water has reached a rolling boil, add the dry pasta to the water and follow the cook time per the instructions on your box of noodles. In a separate pan, heat a quarter cup to a half cup (to your liking) of olive oil on medium heat for 5-7 minutes, or until it is very warm (avoid smoking oil or splattering oil by watching it, time may vary by stove.) Pour the hot olive oil over your lemon and dry ingredients in the large mixing bowl. Once the noodles have reached al dente, drain, then mix in pasta to the hot oil/lemon/parmesan/chili flake mixture and serve.
