Every year the American Pharmacists Association-Academy of Student Pharmacists- Academy of Student Pharmacists names an Outstanding Chapter Advisor. This award is given to one chapter advisor nationally who “has promoted with distinction the welfare of student pharmacists through various professional activities.” Dr. DeLander has served as APhA-ASP chapter advisor at OSU for many years (in addition to his many other responsibilities) and tirelessly advocates for student professional development. He will be the first to tell you that he does not do this alone, but it is through his leadership that OSU students have developed a strong professional umbrella organization, with a state, regional and national presence.
Please join us in congratulating Dr. DeLander on this well-deserved honor. His award will be presented at the APhA Annual Meeting in New Orleans, during the Awards Ceremony on Monday March 12th, from 6-8pm. We hope many will be able to attend this national meeting to celebrate Dr. DeLander’s achievement and OSU’s national recognition.
