College of Pharmacy Alum Dr. Robert Beardsley Receives AACP’s Robert K. Chalmers Distinguished Educator Award

Robert Beardsley, BSPharm, PhD, was recently awarded the Robert K. Chalmers Distinguished Educator Award by the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP).  Dr. Beardsley received his B.S. in Pharmacy from OSU in 1972 and is currently a professor and the Vice-chair for Education in the Department of Pharmaceutical Health Services Research at the University of Maryland.  Dr. Beardsley also serves as the Vice-President for the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education.

According to AACP, the receipt of this prestigious award is evidence of Dr. Beardsley’s commitment to “excellence as a teacher, his outstanding achievements as a researcher and scholar, and his overall impact on pharmacy education and the profession” (www.aacp.org) and OSU College of Pharmacy is proud to highlight the extensive accomplishments of this remarkable alum.
