On April 9-11, 44 pharmacy students from all classes attended the 2011 OSHP Annual Seminar in Sunriver, Oregon. Students spent most of their time attending the typical educational sessions as well as a specific track focused on student development and leadership.
Students were also called upon to help out during the Saturday night reception and silent auction, which helps raise money to fund the student scholarships. This year, OSU students succeeded in winning half of the awarded scholarships.
Students Katie Erickson (P3), Angela Hamman (P3) Ben Kong (P3), Matthew Leinbach (P3), and Eduard Scheckmann (P2) were awarded with scholarships during the Saturday night reception. OSU students Tina Patel (P1) and Eduard Scheckmann (P2) were also awarded a prize for being the top female and male finishers in the Gary Clausen Memorial Run.
Overall, the turnout from students was great for the Annual Seminar and we hope to continue our great success and involvement with OSHP.
