Brown Bag for Christmas

Giving the right directions to optimize the outcomes of pharmacotherapy or to prevent major illness due to drug-drug interactions maybe what some patients at your pharmacy needed the most this year more than their anticipated Christmas gift.

Therefore, Brown Bag for Christmas on Tuesday 21st of December was a mean to give back to the community in a more meaningful way. The event started from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. at Safeway pharmacy in Portland.

Throughout the event more than dozen individuals were interviewed for various medical and drug related questions. The event offered counseling on some OTC products, identified drug-disease interactions (mainly BP-and- NSAID), and recommendations for disease management (BP-Diabetes- Hypercholesterolemia), drug regimens, lab values clarifications, and giving diabetes logging books
