Intensively farmed hazelnuts shows promise in reducing input costs while maximizing yield and profits. During this workshop Dr. Iglesias shared his preliminary data from intensively farming hazelnuts for 7 years and, and compared these results with other deciduous fruit crops that are already farmed using these methods. This online workshop covered biology and management of bud mites in hazelnuts in the Pacific Northwest. We discussed monitoring techniques, management options and timing during the first portion of the workshop, and then opened the workshop up for discussion between attendees. Pruning Workshop
