Oregon State University is hosting a Veterans Day Ceremony Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, in the Memorial Union Quad. Immediately following the ceremony is a reception in the Memorial Union Journey Room from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The ceremony, sponsored by OSU’s ROTC units, includes a keynote address by Captain Jonathan A. Hayes (retired), who has served in Rolling Thunder operations over North Vietnam, and containing a flight record of 2,200 hours in the F-4 Phantom. Also featured at the ceremony will be a a 12-hour POW/MIA flag walk, a 24-hour POW/MIA vigil, and a 21-gun salute. This ceremony is free for all who have the desire to attend; so bring forth your friends and family to pay tribute to those who granted our freedom.
