Bike and Scooter Share Program Updates

ASOSU and Transportation Services are collaborating on a Shared Micromobility Pilot Project. The goal is to advance the OSU Sustainable Transportation Strategy through shared bikes and scooters. Since the project began in August 2024, students, employees, and the community have new options to get to and around campus, run errands and enjoy a ride. Here are some recent updates about the Bike and Scooter Share Pilot in Corvallis.

Expanded Service Area

Veo, the service provider for the pilot, has collaborated with property managers at several additional off-campus apartment complexes to expand the service area where shared scooters can park. Students and employees can now travel to campus from the Yugo Domain, Oak Vale, and Witham Hill apartments. The new routes include NW Harrison Blvd. and NW Circle Blvd. and NW 36th St. and NW Witham Hill Dr. Riders are encouraged to plan their trips and park only at designated bike racks marked in the Veo app.

Bike and Scooter Share Extension to January 2026

The micromobility project team is working to extend Veo’s contract by six months to operate shared bikes and scooters on OSU’s Corvallis campus. An extension would ensure continuous service during pilot evaluation and determination of next steps.  If a shared micromobility program is planned after the pilot, a formal RFP process would select a long-term provider. Please email transportation@oregonstate.edu with questions.

Community Engagement

The Veo team has been active in the community, servicing e-scooters and rebalancing them to keep sidewalks and streets accessible. Stray vehicles or overfull bike racks can be reported to Veo at 855-836-2256 or hello@veoride.com. Please include the location and, if possible, the vehicle number found between the handlebars, just below the QR code.

The project team looks forward to continuing to improve the Bike and Scooter Share Pilot and appreciates your ongoing participation and feedback.
