OSU undergraduates Emma Baughman (Environmental Science), Oona Clark (Climate Science), and Lauren Stalford (Environmental Science) have received URSA Engage awards and will join the Shiel Lab starting in Winter 2023.

Huge congratulations to undergraduate student Callie Covington who has been awarded the Roberts Scholarship, a prestigious award for students from Oregon pursuing careers in Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry.

Undergraduate student Callie Covington has been awarded the Drucilla Shepard Smith Award. This award is presented to students who have earned a 4.0 grade point average while attending OSU. Congratulations!

Former Shiel lab intern Anna Miller (Reed College) is headed to ETH-Zurich for graduate school this fall. She is pursuing her Masters in Environmental Sciences. Congratulations Anna!

Beth Rutila successfully defended her thesis, Geochemical Fingerprinting of Metals from Non-Ferrous Smelting Emissions within Lake Sediments on March 19, 2018. She will be awarded a M.S. in Water Resources Science. Congratulations Beth!
