Graduate Students
Graduate students are admitted into the Soil Science Graduate Program.
Prospective students are highly encouraged to apply for external funding through the NSF GRFP, USDA NIFA Predoctoral Fellowship, and others. Please refer to this comprehensive list of internal and external fellowship opportunities for graduate students.
Undergraduates
There are a variety of avenues for motivated undergraduates to become involved in research in our lab. Some students are supported by federal work-study and are employed as hourly workers during the school year. The Continuing Researcher Support Program and the Beginning Research Support Program are also great ways to get involved!
We invite Honors College students to inquire about conducting independent research for their thesis project. Topics may vary according to student interest.
Postdocs
Prospective postdocs with defined research interests should email Dr. Schaedel to discuss potential projects. External funding opportunities include NSF PRFB and USDA AFRI NIFA.
