Just wanted to take this opportunity to convey a huge THANK YOU to our excellent student volunteers for their time and help in volunteering at the 2016 Oregon Conference on Aging Governor’s Commission on Senior Services last Wednesday October 12th!
THANK YOU for helping! It was a grand success.
I know some of you had a very busy day, including taking exams and juggling classes/work that day and coming back, so I appreciate your help! Hope you enjoyed and had a good time!

Call for Student Volunteers for 2016 Conference on Aging

Hello and hope you all are enjoying summer!

This is a little bit in advance, but wanted to get the word out that we will need some help for a very important conference at our CH2M Hill Alumni Center on October 12. This is a State level conference with very important leaders and experts in the fields of gerontology and aging, with policy focus.

It’s an excellent opportunity for you to connect, network, and get professional development and exposure to career resources. Many big sponsors will be there.

We need all the help we can get for October 12th, and the more students signing up means more flexibility with shifts and hours commitment.

Information on elections for next year’s officer positions

OSUHAC will be holding elections for next year’s officer positions at our upcoming meeting (May 18th @ 5:30pm in Waldo 400).    Detailed information can be found on our Facebook page: facebook.com/osuhealthyagingclub/

Please review each position and send an email to our club email (osuhealthyagingclub@gmail.com) by Wednesday, May 11, if you are interested in holding an officer position for next year. This is wonderful leadership experience to have.

Pharmacy Brown Bag Event at Chintimini Senior Center

OSU Healthy Aging Club is helping the pharmacy students from OSU College of Pharmacy on this event. Kindly contact us or the College if you’re interested in helping!

A brown-bag is an event where participants are asked to bring OTC medications, prescription medications and vitamins to our booth. Pharmacy students along with certified pharmacist review the participants medications for duplicate therapy, side-effects and answer any questions the patient may have.
