Hello,

Thank you to those who took the time to submit your lovely photos to our 4th Annual Photo Competition, “Intergenerational Families”. The voting took place at the Gerontology Conference. Participants at this conference got the chance to see your photos and vote for their favorite one.

We are happy to announce that the top photo was submitted by Dr. Joe Kerkvliet! Please see the winning photo below.

The photo shows Grandpa Joe showing Grandson Myles how to tie on a tiny fly to catch large feeding trout on Montana’s Blue Ribbon Missouri River.  Myles (12 years old) is from Long Beach California and has never fished before.  Grandpa Joe is from Oregon, is 69 years old, and has fished the Missouri River for 66 years.”

All the best,

Miranda Leedham

Welcome to Spring term and look forward to seeing you at OSUHAC’s first meeting! It’s this Thursday, April 13th at 6pm on Waldo 400!

Please check out the message below from OSUHAC’s Vice President, Sammy:
Hey everyone, its time for officer elections! We are needing two people to fill the positions as President and Treasurer for the 2017-2018 school year. This is a great way to get more involved in the club and bring in some new ideas as to what events, projects, and community service that we could participate in next year!
We will be holding elections during our second meeting this term, Thursday, April 27th at 6pm on Waldo 400. This will give us time to train the new officers for the rest of the term.
I have attached the descriptions of the officer positions. Please take a look at them and consider taking one of the positions, you would all be great candidates!
If you have questions, contact OSUHAC. See everyone at the meeting this Thursday!
Sammy
OSU Healthy Aging Club Vice President
