Christopher Glantz, PLS
Chris is currently the Lands Unit Manager for the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. Chris has been serving the surveying profession for over 20 years in the private, public, and academic sectors, working for David Evans and Associates, Quantum Spatial, Oregon DOT, and Chemeketa Community College. He has presented on many topics ranging from complicated boundary resolutions to designing the future of land surveying. Chris enjoys mentoring and teaching and is a former student of the original Oregon Land Surveying Law Workshop. He is humbled and honored to be walking in the footsteps of those who began this storied workshop. When he isn’t working, Chris enjoys spending time with his family and exploring new places.

Chase Simpson
Chase is a Senior Instructor of Geomatics and Faculty Research Assistant at Oregon State University. His professional journey spans both public and private sectors, where he honed his skills in the design, collection, and preparation of legal, boundary, topographic, construction, and hydrographic surveys. Chase discovered his passion for teaching while completing his master’s degree in geomatics at OSU. Since then, he has shared his expertise in over 20 courses, including multiple offerings of Oregon Land Survey Law and Property Surveys. Alongside teaching, Chase mentors’ students, conducts research on the establishment of geodetic control, and championed the development of a Minor in Geomatics Engineering within the School of Civil and Construction Engineering. He is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the growth and innovation of the geomatics program at OSU and the profession as a whole. Beyond academia, Chase finds joy in traveling and embarking on outdoor adventures with his family.
