Motivating Confidence

There was a situation about a year ago when I was recommended for this job interview. It was when I was working at a summer job and served food and beverages. A tech company happened to be my customers, and we ended up getting along very well. This led me to have new connections as well as meet new people in the tech industry, which I have always been interested in. The main guy I ended up having a conversation with was actually the vice president of the small business and he recommended I come in for an interview. The very next day, I reached out to his boss and scheduled an interview. I was very nervous and was not really expecting anything out of it when I got there.

The interview ended up going very well and I was offered a job, and this boosted my confidence and I felt really good about myself. I feel like what I have worked for has paid off in one way or another. I think this compensation motivated me because it was out of the blue for this interview, and it was because I had a bubbly personality. It already felt very rewarding just by being recognized for having a good attitude, as well as working hard for what I want. Having that recommendation made it very easy to go into the interview with confidence and to know I have nothing to lose. This helped me develop a very good mindset. Next time I have another interview, I will look back to this moment and feel more confident.
