Check out the great post on SYNERGIES, the blog of the College of Health and Human Sciences at OSU, talking about the cooking classes offered by HHS student Iris Briand.  The classes are sponsored by the Student Sustainability Initiative and the OSU Food Group and have been well attended.

Iris explains

My objectives  are to help the community understand the importance of using whole, nutritious, and sustainable foods (local/organic/minimally processed), buying in bulk and composting to reduce waste, cooking from scratch, the nutritional benefits of the foods we make, and minimizing costs.

Check out the Synergies post for more details, including several featured recipes!
