Wireless Communication Intern
Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT)
The responsibility includes support and coordination of the state-wide wireless voice and data network, interagency dispatch operation centers, client server information systems, power systems, antennas systems and peripheral components. The primary organizations supported include the Oregon State Police and the Department of Transportation, Office of Fire Marshall, and Oregon Wireless Interoperable Network (OWIN), with periodic support of other state and federal agencies. These intern positions can be assigned to lead projects and to support emergency operations.
This position is best suited for individuals having completed a BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Technology and that enjoy a combination of physical outdoor duties and indoor office duties.
