APhA Publication Highlights – Lincoln Alexander (’15)

In a recent APhA Career Profile, Lincoln Alexander (’15) was the highlighted pharmacist. Lincoln is Student Experiential Coordinator and Staff Pharmacist at Albertsons-Safeway Pharmacy in Portland. In his profile, Lincoln describes his decision to not pursue a residency after pharmacy school and to instead start his career with Albertsons-Safeway, a decision he does not regret. He goes on to say that the clinical opportunities that he has had in his early career working as a retail pharmacist have exceeded his expectations as Oregon pharmacists now have the ability to prescribe hormonal contraceptives. Lincoln was the very first pharmacist in the state of Oregon and within Albertsons-Safeway to prescribe.
