On Monday, February 14, OSSP members held a bake sale to raise money for the APhA Political Action Committee (APhA-PAC). The offerings included cake pops, cheesecake tarts, brownies, chocolate candies, cookies scones and much more. Thanks to the efforts of so many, we made $266!
The APhA-PAC is a critical component in securing the future of the profession and works to advance the profession of pharmacy by supporting candidates for federal office who support the pharmacy legislative issues.
As decisions about healthcare reform are being made, it is important that pharmacists have a voice among legislators and that legislators are aware of all that pharmacists can offer. The APhA-PAC provides the voice for pharmacists, so our Chapter is proud to have had such as successful bake sale to help support their efforts.
Again, thank you to everyone who baked or stopped by to purchase all of the wonderful goodies. Look for another bake sale next term!
