On Monday, January 17, the
current and past governor, past and present Oregon legislators, Senators Widen and Merkley, OSU students and faculty joined many prominent community leaders within the African American communities of Oregon to honor scholarship recipients. More than 700 were in attendance.
From the College of Pharmacy, Dave Bearden, Gary DeLander, Ann Zweber and Paige Clark attended in support of Asmeret Kiflezghi, who was honored for her service to her community.
