Congratulations to Dr. Andrew Osborn, a newly graduated PhD student from Dr. Taifo Mahmud’s lab, for his selection as the winner of OSU’s internal competition for the 2019 CGS/ProQuest Distinguished Dissertation Award in Biological/Life Sciences. As described by the Graduate School:
“This award recognizes scholarly achievement by a doctoral degree recipient whose dissertation makes a significant contribution to their discipline. Andrew’s dissertation, Evolutionary and Biochemical Studies of C7-cyclitol Synthases and their Sunscreen Gene Clusters, has been advanced as OSU’s nominee for consideration in the national Distinguished Dissertation Award competition sponsored by the Council of Graduate Schools and ProQuest Dissertations Publishing.”
