Scholarship – Folk Club & NCPA

Thrift Shop/Folk Club Scholarship

The Older-Than-Average Scholarships are awarded to women who are U.S. citizens, residents in Benton County, and are 26 years of age or older at the application deadline date, and who will attend OSU in the fall pursuing bachelor’s, master’s, or professional degrees, (and carrying at least twelve credits at OSU each term.

Principal criteria are financial need and merit. Preference will be given to women who have had a break in their post secondary studies and are returning after an absence. An application form is required in a complete packet. The form lists the information that must be submitted including:

  • resume, following the format given;
  • financial statement
  • one page, typed essay in which you reflect on your attitudes, values, and perception of yourself as you explain your educational goals and why you entered college as an older-than-average student;
  • two references, from a teacher, employer, counselor, or community member;
  • student copy of your OSU/college transcript(s); and
  • an official letter of admission if you are entering OSU Fall term for the first time.

National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) Foundation

Scholarship Application Deadline: March 15, 2011

The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) Foundation is pleased to announce the continuation of its Scholarship Program. Student members of NCPA are eligible to apply. The student must be enrolled in an accredited U.S. school/college of pharmacy on a full-time basis during the following terms: 2011 fall and 2012 spring.

As of 2/4/2011, the following scholarships are available:

· Presidential Scholarship

· J.C. and Rheba Cobb Memorial Scholarship for Excellence in Government Affairs

· Neil Pruitt Sr. Memorial Scholarship for Entrepreneurism

· Willard B. Simmons Sr. Memorial Scholarship for Pharmacy Management
