This week the APhA Foundation awarded the 2011 Student Scholarships. Nine $1,000 awards were given out to students who invest time in their school’s APhA-ASP chapter to help shape the future of the profession while managing the demands of a full-time pharmacy curriculum. Applicants were evaluated on their potential to become leaders in the profession of pharmacy, as demonstrated by involvement in school and community activities and academic performance. The recipients are as follows:

Scott Beeman – Paul Pumpian Scholar, Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences

Jeffrey Gower – Col. Jerry Ross Scholar, Idaho State University College of Pharmacy
Kyle Guay – Sam Kalman Scholar, Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences
Katie Morneau – Boyle Family Scholar, University of Maryland School of Pharmacy
