Blog Post #5

All of our team members submitted the Preliminary design this week, and each of us completed our own design and ideas. I am responsible for Tools Related to Choosing a degree/Deciding what to major in. At first, I did not understand why my partner tried to avoid choosing personality testing tools in the comments below. As I had a deeper understanding of this part of the task, I found that most of the tools were personality tests, which did not meet the research purpose of our team project. It was a simple but not practical tool for our project. Therefore, after thinking about it, I finally designed the tool from three aspects: the classification of departments, the characteristics of students, and the analysis of the common ground and differences of successful people. So far, I am not sure which way to design into our application, but I think these three paths are relatively easy to implement. It looks like we are going to start building the initial version and recording the video. So far, everything seems to be going according to plan. I find that when I focus on one part of the task, I work more comfortably and I have more ideas to generate. In my spare time, I went to experience the newly opened Universal Studios in Beijing. The play experience was very good. Compared with the Universal Studios in Los Angeles, more Chinese elements were added and the feeling of immersion was full.
