Bio and the Blog
My name is Colin and I am a 22-year-old English and journalism undergrad student at Oregon State University. I grew up in Pendleton Oregon. Yes, the place that makes the blankets. After a few indecisive years where I stumbled around between colleges, I finally settled down in Corvallis. This has been my home for almost two years now and it has been good for me. Most of my free time is spent playing video games, watching movies or television, and going down to Monroe st. with some friends. Some other hobbies of mine, that aren’t strictly recreational, are cooking, reading, and writing. I am very much a homebody, but I occasionally get outdoors to hike, camp, or just enjoy the sunshine– which should be cherished in a place like Corvallis.
The best way I can describe what I want to do with this blog is digitalizing my thoughts. I have a lot of opinions and ideas that I want to put into writing. Whether it’s a review of something I saw or read, a random thought I want to share, or just something I want to get off my chest, I want to put it out there. More importantly, I want to open a dialogue with people who also like to discuss– if anyone ever sees this. This is more of an experiment than anything else. I just want to have fun with it and give myself a space to just write for the sake of it and not for some arbitrary assignment.
