Under discussion for the past weeks, one of my teammates proposed that flask is a very good framework to use to build our website. This is not the first time I heard about Flask, but it is my first time considering deploying the websites using Flask. This is a brand new framework to me. During the discussion, I realized it is not just new to me, but new to everybody in my team including the teammate who proposed this idea. Actually, the teammate did some research online and find Flask is pretty suitable and easy to grasp and would like to have a try.
All of our teammates researches Flask for the week and during the meeting, we all agree that this is a very useful and powerful tool for us to use. Then we decided to use the Flask framework to accomplish our website together.
I’m the one who likes to explore new things and is willing to know more. I really love the environment that everyone in my team voice up and raises up ideas, questions, as well as providing suggestions and solutions. And everyone is open-minded for others and eager to learn new skills. Based on my experience, I sum up three methods to learn a new thing.
First of all, research about that. We can always use the resources on youtube, books, professionals, and so forth. On the way I’m learning Flask, I mainly focused on a youtube video that give me hand-to-hand instruction. Also, I scanned a book and get to know a very good example to deploy a website using Flask. We can always find the resources to fill the questions with ease.
Second, discuss it. Find someone who knows the skill we are currently learning or someone who is also learning this just like us. It is a good way to get a comprehensive standing of the skills by exchanging thoughts and ideas with someone else.
Last but not least, practise it. It is important to practise the theory or skills we have learned. During practising, we may find a lot of questions or problems, this makes us digger more of the skills and during problem-solving, to get a better understanding of the theory.
