The world is a massive, expansive, and majestic place. There are so many things to see and to experience and some of the most inspiring are the seven wonders of the world. One of these wonders in particular, the Great Wall of China, is something of a dream that I wish to one day travel to and visit. Just imagining the vast expansion of wall that thousands and thousands of people labored over that stretches for thousands of miles across China is enough to give me chills. Its historical significance and its humbling size has always made it something of a dream for me to one day visit and walk along. There are many things in the world that are bigger than you, but so few that put you in a place where you realize how small you really are in the grand scheme of things, and much like looking at the stars and the ocean, when I look at pictures of this wall I am reminded of my place on Earth.
