As you can guess from the title, today I will be talking about two of my favorite podcasts. Recently I have found that I enjoy podcasts much more than I ever thought I could. True crime and sports are two things that I enjoy learning about and figured this would be a great genre to find a few favorites in. Today I will talk about how I found each podcast and why I enjoy each one.

“Serial Killers” is the first podcast that I will talk about in today’s blog. I found this podcast purely by chance. Seeing ads on social media/YouTube I decided to download Spotify and start to checkout a few true crime podcasts. After trial and error, I found the “Serial Killers” podcasts and was hooked. What first drew me in was the fact that there are so many episodes about serial killers I have never heard about. Each cover on a serial killer is usually put into two parts. Part one is their childhood and the beginnings of their crimes. Part two usually covers the later of their crimes and their downfall. The co-hosts also sometimes will respectfully disagree with each other based on their own opinions. The mixture of unknown information, great hosts, and well put together episodes is why this is one of my favorites.

“Pardon My Take” is the other podcast that I listen to on a weekly basis. It is co-hosted by Big Cat and PFT from barstool sports. Each episode they have a celebrity guest or guests that adds something new to each episode. Along with the interviews they recap the most recent football games and imitate the old Chris Berman’s “Fastest two minutes”. This show always has great skits, but the main reason that I love the show is that Big Cat and PFT remind me of myself when it comes to being a football fan. They root for the Chicago Bears and Washington Football Team respectively, so they know a few things about heartbreak. Being a Vikings fan, I can relate to their thoughts, and I truly believe anyone else that goes through it would love the podcast.

Those are my two recommendations for anyone looking to find a new podcast or two to enjoy. After looking over the few different podcasts that I listen to on a more regular basis and these two stood out. One of the main reasons that is stood out as my favorite is the hosts when I really think about. There are plenty of podcasts with great content, but in my experience, there are not many with good hosts that can take the same content to a different level. While liking a host is one hundred percent subjective, so are recommendations so it works out. Let me know what you guys think of the podcasts and if you have any recommendations!
