Planning Done

Hey everyone! My team and I have been very productive since my last post. We have found a project that we are all excited to be working on and have now completed the first phase of planning!

An important step to complete before any coding ever takes place is to decide what your goals are and how you will go about designing your project to meet those goals. These past few weeks that is exactly what my team and I have been doing. We completed multiple documents outlining the problem that we aim to solve, system requirements, and how we will design all the most important aspects of our solution. This all culminated in our 26 page design document which is very exciting as we now have a guide for our first iteration of development.

Now that we have everything planned out, it is time to get to the actual software development! This to me is a much more exciting time as we will actually be execute on all the work we have done thus far. The design process is of course fun as well but it is no where near actually coding solutions and seeing the designs come to fruition. The next steps we plan to take are to get our development environment set up and then to develop the first version of our project. I will be sure to give an update post later with the details of that experience!
